Hello & Welcome!!  

seniorMUSE was started as an Instagram account to showcase great senior images from amazing photographers across the nation!   To help senior photographers, big, small and everywhere in between get recognized for great work! We LOVE discovering new photographers in the senior industry! seniorMUSE typically features more photos and more new talent each week than other senior sites.

As our following grew and the likes on the images we featured grew, we started giving out ICON awards for images that are highly liked by our followers. We also began featuring ONLY ICON images on our public FB page.  As that too grew, we decided to add yet another venture to seniorMUSE.... 

A FULL COLOR HIGH END MAGAZINE published quarterly. There are 4 Photographers Choice/Open submission issues each year, along with an ANNUAL ICON EDITION that comes out late January/early February, featuring “THE BEST of” for the past year!

As we continue to grow, we try to continue to add new things for photographers and seniors! We began our Traveling Dress Adventures in 2020, MENTORING in 2021, and in 2022 a DIRECTORY of PHOTOGRAPHERS to help connect seniors and photographers. Also in February of 2022 we will begin a Photographer of the Month Contest (photographers must be in our private FB group to participate), and later in the year we will be adding templates for photographers! So you can see there is lots going on at seniorMUSE to keep up with, so get in our private FB group to stay up to date!

As of the beginning of 2022 we have well over 18,000 followers and have featured over 10,000 amazing images from photographers across the nation, and have been hashtagged in over 500K images for feature consideration. We feature approximately 40-50 images a week, and try hard to showcase a wide variety of photography styles. We strive to feature lots of different photographers; with NEW PHOTOGRAPHERS featured weekly!

If you'd like to be considered for feature on our INSTAGRAM account, please follow us, AND use hashtag #seniorMUSE. (NOTE: capitalizing MUSE in your hashtag help us locate images when we are scrolling our feed! This is important because thanks to algorithms even the “recent” tab under our hashtag doesn’t give us everything, and is by far not in posting order).

Our hope is that by featuring and publishing amazing senior photography we can not only bring a little joy and encouragement to the photographer but also to the seniors being featured! Who doesn't need a little something to brighten their day? Hoping the images featured inspire photographers to grow, provide confidence to featured seniors, and give the upcoming seniors something to look forward to as they prepare for their turn at senior year!
